Mt. Fuji
One of the most iconic things in Japan is Mt. Fuji, or as it's known in Japan Fujisan; The seemingly perfect volcanic cone towering above the furthest outskirts of Toyko.
Insanely photogenic and well documented, I really wasn't sure that seeing the mountain up close would be awe-inspiring at all. After seeing it online and in movies so many times I thought the majesty might have faded.
However, as we approached the mountain and its size grew and grew, I realised just how powerful a landmark this giant really is.
